K.P. Munusamy, the deputy general secretary of the AIADMK, expressed strong criticism of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, claiming he has betrayed the hopes of the youth who supported him in the elections. Speaking at a party event in Hosur, Munusamy described Vijay as a mere illusion, crafted and amplified by social media, and accused him of failing to provide substantial plans for governance. He specifically pointed to Vijay's recent 18-minute speech in Tiruchi, which Munusamy felt lacked meaningful content regarding the aspirations of young voters. Furthermore, he questioned the effectiveness of the government's initiatives, particularly the 'Singapenn-Special task force' for women's safety, and highlighted the inadequacy of crime control under Vijay's leadership. Munusamy also refuted claims made by Minister R. Nirmalkumar regarding communication issues with the AIADMK and offered support to VCK leader Thol. Thirumavalavan amidst ongoing attacks from the DMK, suggesting that the DMK's alliance is already showing signs of fragmentation.
