The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the schedule for the third phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, which will take place in 16 states and 3 Union Territories. This phase excludes Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh, with announcements for these regions pending completion of the Census Phase-II and weather conditions. The schedule for the house-to-house visits varies by state, starting from May 30, 2026, in some regions and extending to October 14, 2026, in others.
