Chandigarh Police took action against Sahil Kaushal, an event management professional from Mohali, after a video surfaced showing him driving a black Hyundai Creta SUV recklessly on the walking track of Leisure Valley park in Sector 10. The video, shared on social media by local resident Namanbir Singh, prompted police to trace the vehicle and visit Kaushal's residence in Phase 5, Mohali. Upon questioning, Kaushal claimed he had permission from his event management firm to drive in the park; however, officials refuted this claim. As a result, police impounded the vehicle and issued a challan for multiple violations. Kaushal was fined ₹5,000 for driving with an expired license, ₹3,000 for not having a registration certificate, and he faces further penalties for dangerous driving, potentially amounting to ₹10,000 as per the Motor Vehicles Act.
