The Indian government has officially reconstituted the NITI Aayog, appointing Ashok Lahiri, a noted economist and former chief economic advisor, as its new vice chairman. Alongside Lahiri, five new members have been appointed: Rajiv Gauba, former cabinet secretary; Prof. K. V. Raju, part-time member of the Economic Advisory Council; Prof. Gobardhan Das, director of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhopal; Dr. M.
