The family of Gagandeep Singh, who was killed during a clash in Machhiwara, Ludhiana district, Punjab, India, gathered outside a local police station demanding the arrest of all suspects involved in the incident. Senior police officials, including Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Harpinder Kaur, assured the family that four individuals had already been arrested within 24 hours of the incident, with two more arrests expected in the coming days. The family, along with representatives from several organizations, expressed their intent to intensify protests if all accused are not apprehended by May 15. They also called for action against the narcotics trade, as Gagandeep had been outspoken against drug peddling in the area. Meanwhile, the post-mortem examination has been completed, and the body was returned to the family for last rites.
