In a disturbing incident in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, a 19-year-old man has been arrested for the alleged abduction and rape of a seven-year-old girl. The suspect, originally from Farrukkhabad, Uttar Pradesh, reportedly entered the girl's home on April 16, stole ₹11,000 (approximately $130 USD) and a mobile phone, and then abducted her to a nearby park where he assaulted her. After abandoning the girl near her home, he was later apprehended when he attempted another theft. During a police chase, he fired at officers and was shot in both legs. Police confirmed they have CCTV footage of the suspect's movements and have charged him under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), specifically section 64 for rape, as well as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
