Homebuyers, represented by the Grand Venezia Buyers’ Association, have approached the Supreme Court of India, alleging that real estate promoter Satinder Singh Bhasin is evading compliance with court orders following the cancellation of his bail. The Supreme Court had previously ruled on April 2, 2026, that Bhasin must surrender within seven days, a deadline that has since passed without his appearance. The buyers describe his actions as 'wilful and deliberate defiance' and express concerns that he may have fled the country. They accuse Bhasin of using procedural tactics to delay compliance, including filing successive pleas after his bail was revoked. The Supreme Court had previously set aside Bhasin's bail in connection with a multi-crore rupee scam involving the Grand Venice Mall in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The buyers are now requesting the court to issue non-bailable warrants and open a lookout circular to prevent Bhasin from leaving India. Additionally, investor Louleen Kaur Bhalla has filed a separate plea for the enforcement of the same judgment, emphasizing the need for strict action to uphold the rule of law.
