Currently, esports only contributes 35% of the company's revenue, with the remaining 65% generated from events and owned intellectual properties. Sidharth Kedia, Nodwin's Chief Strategy and Investments Officer, emphasizes that the company is focused on capturing and monetizing the attention of young consumers through various entertainment formats, including festivals like NH7 Weekender and Comic Con India. The shift in strategy was underscored by Nodwin's recent exit from the Evolution Championship Series, a major fighting game tournament, allowing the company to reduce capital risks while maintaining a partnership in emerging markets. As Nodwin seeks to raise over $100 million in its pre-IPO round, it aims for a valuation exceeding $400 million. The company's goal is to maximize engagement with youth culture, positioning itself as the 'infrastructure layer' for youth entertainment, regardless of whether the focus shifts back to esports or remains on live events.
