Sony has projected a 30% increase in profits from its gaming division, despite forecasting a 6% decline in annual sales to 4.42 trillion yen ($28 billion). This decline is attributed to lower hardware sales as the PlayStation 5 (PS5) ages and rising memory chip prices. The company sold 1.5 million PS5 consoles in the fourth quarter, marking a 46% drop compared to the same period last year.
