In the wake of the BJP's landslide victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections, Trinamool Congress (TMC) offices were reportedly vandalized across several districts, including South 24 Parganas, Cooch Behar, and North 24 Parganas. Allegations surfaced that BJP supporters were behind the defacement of party banners and flex boards, as well as acts of arson at local TMC offices, particularly in Jamuria, Paschim Bardhaman district. TMC leaders claimed that miscreants gathered outside their offices shortly after the election results were announced, leading to the destruction of party materials and images of prominent TMC leaders, including Abhishek Banerjee and Mamata Banerjee. In response to the unrest, police have been deployed to disperse crowds and are conducting investigations into the incidents. While the BJP has categorically denied involvement, claiming that the vandalism stems from internal disputes within the TMC, the Election Commission has instructed security forces to protect party candidates and their supporters from potential attacks.
