In Noida, Uttar Pradesh, police reported that 'outsiders' attempted to incite unrest after a peaceful gathering of around 40,000 to 45,000 workers from various sectors. Following the dispersal of workers, tensions escalated in certain areas, particularly in Sector-63 and near the Motherson company premises, where incidents of violence, including arson, occurred. In response, police detained several individuals and registered seven FIRs across various police stations within the Gautam Buddh Nagar Commissionerate. Authorities emphasized their commitment to public safety and law and order, stating that only the minimum necessary force was used to control the situation. They have accepted four out of five demands raised by the workers and have set up a high-level committee to address the remaining issues. The police urged the public to avoid rumors and cooperate with the administration to maintain peace, asserting that the situation is now under control with ongoing surveillance in sensitive areas.
