The incident occurred on April 14, 2024, when two men on a motorcycle opened fire outside Khan's Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai. The bodyguard, who reported for duty the night before, recounted hearing what sounded like firecrackers and later confirmed through CCTV footage that the assailants fired four to five shots towards the building.
