In a significant development in the trial regarding the April 2024 shooting incident at Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence, his personal bodyguard testified that the attack was an attempt to kill him. The incident occurred on April 14, 2024, when two men on a motorcycle opened fire outside Khan's Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai. The bodyguard, who reported for duty the night before, recounted hearing what sounded like firecrackers and later confirmed through CCTV footage that the assailants fired four to five shots towards the building. At the time of the attack, Khan was in his bedroom on the first floor. The bodyguard emphasized that the heightened security was due to threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The court has also heard from other witnesses, including a police guard who found bullet shells at the scene. The accused, including Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, are currently in judicial custody, while gangster Lawrence Bishnoi remains a wanted suspect in the case.
