Agarwal was a visionary entrepreneur who founded the company in 1986 and played a pivotal role in its evolution from a local venture in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India, to a globally recognized packaged food enterprise. Under his leadership, Bikaji became India's third-largest ethnic snacks company and the second-fastest-growing player in the organized snacks market. The brand, which started as Shivdeep Food Products, launched the Bikaji name in 1993 and began exporting to the UAE in 1994. Agarwal's approach to business included adopting advanced manufacturing technologies and expanding into international markets, contributing to the company's sustained growth.
