Aarti Ravikumar, a 14-year-old student from Pioneer Charter School of Science II in Malden, Massachusetts, has been awarded the prestigious 2026 Broadcom Coding with Commitment Award at the Massachusetts Science and Engineering Fair held at Clark University. Her project, titled 'Fractal Exploration,' utilized self-built code, advanced mathematics, and image analysis to investigate how fractal patterns could be applied in fields such as medicine and scientific research. The award, presented by the Broadcom Foundation, honors middle school students who leverage coding and STEM skills to address real-world challenges linked to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
