Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state visited approximately 200 students studying at Istinye University in Istanbul, Turkey, who are part of the state's overseas scholarship program. During this visit, he praised their impressive academic performances, with university officials noting that many students are earning outstanding grades across various disciplines. Fintiri emphasized that the scholarship initiative, which is designed to develop a skilled workforce, was based on merit and aims to empower young people in the state. In a significant expansion of this initiative, he announced plans to sponsor another 200 students for master's degree programs in Australia and Canada. Fintiri encouraged the students to maintain high academic standards and return home after graduation to contribute to Adamawa's development. This scholarship program is a key part of the Fintiri administration's strategy to enhance education and foster sustainable growth in the region.
