This transition follows months of speculation and is now confirmed through city zoning documents. The Business Center will focus on providing essential supplies and equipment at wholesale prices, while all Costco members can shop there without needing a separate membership. However, certain product categories like clothing, jewelry, and electronics will not be available, and some services such as a pharmacy and food court will be excluded. The store will maintain existing offerings like cleaning supplies and dairy products. Significant changes to the building will include the addition of shipping docks and a reduction in parking spaces to accommodate delivery trucks. The proposal is under review, with city officials planning formal meetings and a public hearing in July to address community concerns, which have already garnered over 4,000 signatures on an online petition.
