Biplab Dasgupta, the esteemed Bengali actor and elocutionist, passed away at the age of 75 in Kolkata after battling complications from a prostate operation. He was at home in Tollygunje when he felt unwell and subsequently died while being transported to a hospital. Dasgupta was celebrated for his performances in notable films such as 'Baishey Shraban', 'Gumnaami', and 'Zulfiqar', as well as popular television series including 'Chemistry Mashi' and 'Checkmate'. His contributions to the Bengali film and television industry have earned him a lasting legacy. Following his death, numerous colleagues from the film and OTT sectors gathered at Technicians Studio to pay their respects.
