Gauri Kulkarni, a Kothrud resident, highlighted the recurring issues of potholes and waterlogging, which are expected to worsen during the monsoon season. Rucha Joshi from Satara Road noted that the poor condition of roads not only causes traffic jams but also leads to accidents, especially with heavy vehicle movement. Despite the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) collecting approximately ₹50 crore for road restoration, there are complaints about the quality of repairs. Nilesh Nikam, the opposition leader in PMC, criticized the administration for incomplete and delayed work. PMC officials stated that they have instructed ward offices to expedite the restoration process, although delays in contractor appointments have been an issue. Citizens are encouraged to report problems through the PMC portal, as the civic body aims to improve road conditions amid ongoing challenges.
