Prateek Yadav's sudden death has become increasingly mysterious following a postmortem that revealed six unexplained injuries on his body, all of which were determined to be sustained before his death. According to the postmortem report, three of these injuries were estimated to be five to seven days old, while the other three were believed to have occurred about a day prior. Medical professionals have not yet concluded the nature of these injuries, stating that clarity will only emerge after detailed forensic and chemical examinations are completed. The postmortem also indicated that Prateek died due to a major blockage in the blood vessels of the lungs, which led to heart and respiratory failure. Doctors have preserved his heart and clot-like material from the lungs for histopathological analysis, and viscera samples have been sent for chemical testing to rule out toxicological causes. Prateek had been under treatment for hypertension and pulmonary embolism, a serious condition where blood clots block lung arteries, prior to his death. Ruchita Sharma, an associate director at Medanta Hospital, confirmed that he was aware of his health issues and had been taking blood-thinning medication as part of his treatment.
