Farm-to-market road projects valued at P120 million in Catanauan, Quezon, are nearing completion and are expected to significantly benefit local farmers. The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) confirmed that the roads, which link Barangay San Roque to Barangay Anusan and Barangay Tagbacan Ibaba to Barangay Tagbacan Silangan, comply with engineering standards. Each project costs nearly P60 million and is funded through the Agrarian Reform Fund in collaboration with the local government. These roads aim to ease the transportation of agricultural products, addressing the challenges farmers faced in accessing markets prior to construction. The projects are slated for completion by June 30, 2026, following a final inspection conducted by DAR personnel. Mayor Ramon Orfanel highlighted the positive impact these roads will have on the community, particularly for farmers who will benefit from improved transport options for their produce.
