Bolla Brahma Naidu, a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), was arrested in Hyderabad for allegedly attempting to encroach upon 10 acres of government land. The Narsingi Police in Cyberabad took him into custody as part of an investigation into the circulation of fake Government Orders (GOs) used to falsely claim ownership of government land. Following his arrest, Naidu was presented before a magistrate and has been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody at Chanchalguda Jail. This incident is part of a larger investigation that previously led to the arrest of three individuals involved in creating and distributing forged government documents, specifically related to land in Gandipet village of Telangana's Ranga Reddy district. The police began their investigation after receiving a complaint on May 23 about the circulation of these fake documents via social media, which misrepresented the ownership status of government land. During the investigation, police seized various items, including bank passbooks and electronic devices, from the residences of the accused individuals.
