On May 6, 2023, Richa Taneja Goyal, a 40-year-old woman, allegedly died by suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of her residence in SRS Residency Society, located in Sector 88 of Faridabad, Haryana, India. Richa lived with her husband, Rahul Goyal, and their 12-year-old twin sons. She had previously worked in the private sector but left her job three years ago due to health reasons. Rahul, who worked as a manager at Adani Gas Company, had also reportedly lost his job recently. The tragic incident occurred while he was away in Agra to drop off his sister. Preliminary investigations indicate that Richa may have taken this drastic step following a domestic dispute, but the exact cause remains unclear. The police have sent her body for a post-mortem and are in contact with family members to gather more information.
