Three beagles from Ridglan Farms in Dane County, Wisconsin, have successfully been adopted through the Wisconsin Humane Society's Ozaukee County branch. The dogs, named Sesame, Poppy, and Cream Cheese, were part of a larger initiative to rehome over 1,000 beagles rescued from the facility. Families traveled great distances to adopt these dogs, including the Newcomb family from Willoughby, Ohio, and the Keller family from Mequon, Wisconsin. Chris and Dawn Newcomb expressed their dedication to the cause, stating they followed the story closely on social media. Dawn noted her hope that the rapid pace of adoptions would continue. Meanwhile, Marisa Keller emphasized their personal mission to help the beagles, stating, "I can't watch this and not do something about it." Angela Speed from the Wisconsin Humane Society highlighted that many of these dogs are experiencing everyday activities for the first time, such as walking on grass and playing with toys. Both families are ready to help their new pets adjust to life outside the shelter.
