3,30,479 students have registered for the 2026 Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), which will be held from April 22 to 24. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) reported that 1,86,099 girls and 1,44,380 boys will participate, along with 970 specially-abled candidates. The exams will take place at 745 centres across Karnataka, all equipped with closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras and facial recognition systems to monitor attendance and prevent malpractice. The Kannada language examination for Gadinadu and Horanadu candidates is scheduled for April 22, followed by Physics and Chemistry on April 23, and Mathematics and Biology on April 24. KEA Executive Director H Prasanna emphasized the importance of security, stating that arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth examination process. Candidates using hearing aids are advised to arrive two hours early for verification. Prasanna also encouraged students who did not perform well in their first II PU exam to participate, as their second exam scores will be considered for the KCET results.
