The Maharashtra government has approved an official study tour to Denmark, scheduled from May 16 to May 24, 2026, despite recently announced austerity measures that canceled all planned foreign tours for officials and legislators. This trip, titled 'Technical Awareness Visit on Climate-Smart Water Infrastructure', will be led by Pravin Pardeshi, CEO of MITRA, and will include four other participants: ASR Naik, Member Secretary of Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran; Sachin Ombase, Solapur Municipal Commissioner; Ranjita Chakote, Standing Committee chairman of Solapur Municipal Corporation; and Prajakta Admane, Chairperson of Umred Municipal Council. Participants will be allowed to purchase foreign currency for personal expenses, subject to approval from the Government of India's Department of Economic Affairs.
