On Tuesday, a series of unsettling incidents in Pune, Maharashtra, India, raised concerns over the safety of women and children. In one case, a man harassed a young woman in broad daylight at Rajaram Bridge, prompting bystanders to intervene, beat him, and hand him over to the police. In another incident, a 46-year-old man, Shridhar Kamble, attempted to sexually assault a 6-year-old girl at her grandparents' home in Theur. The victim's mother reported the incident, leading to Kamble's swift arrest. Additionally, in Mulshi taluka, an ice cream vendor named Pintu Shivkumar allegedly molested a 14-year-old girl with an intellectual disability. Local villagers detained him after he fled the scene.
