Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone has appointed Niraj Bansal as CEO-Ports, effective June 1, 2023, replacing Pranav Choudhary, who is leaving for new opportunities. Bansal, a former IRS officer, previously led New Port Project Development in Maharashtra and has extensive experience in port management.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone has announced the appointment of Niraj Bansal as CEO-Ports, effective June 1, 2023. He replaces Pranav Choudhary, who will leave the position on May 31, 2023, to explore new opportunities outside the Adani Group. Bansal joined the Adani Group in October 2022 and has been serving as CEO of New Port Project Development in Maharashtra. His previous roles include heading Hazira Port and serving as Deputy Chairman and Chairman-in-charge of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) from 2014 to 2019, during which JNPT achieved a record cargo handling of 66 million metric tonnes in the fiscal year 2018. Bansal brings over 27 years of experience from the Indian Revenue Service, where he retired as Commissioner of Income Tax.
