Kaddu, an elderly community dog near Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, was missing for 50 days before being located in Shahbad Mohammadpur, about 3 km from the airport. Kaddu was found by dog lover Mohit Lamba and was quickly adopted by senior advocate Percival Billimoria, who felt compelled to provide her a home. Billimoria noted that Kaddu, who is nearly 11 years old, could not be left outside, especially after her ordeal. This incident has highlighted gaps in the animal birth control program and the tracking system for stray dogs, with ongoing concerns about the treatment of community dogs by authorities. Activists continue to search for another missing dog, Brownie, raising awareness about the challenges faced by stray animals in urban areas.
