The memo encourages officers, especially those stationed at locations with metro and public transport access, to utilize public transport for daily commuting whenever possible. Additionally, police motorcycles and two-wheelers will be pooled for essential work only, and personnel are advised to carpool for official duties. Routine meetings should be conducted via video conferencing to avoid unnecessary travel. The memo also outlines a significant reduction in the size of VIP/VVIP convoys, stressing that security units must ensure only essential vehicles are deployed. All supervisory officers are responsible for monitoring fuel consumption, maintaining logbooks, and ensuring vehicles are in good condition to prevent fuel wastage.
