Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi is scheduled to visit India for the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting on May 14-15, 2026. Araghchi's ongoing dialogue with India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has been pivotal, with at least four high-level discussions since February 18, 2023, aimed at navigating the complexities of West Asia. The upcoming summit in New Delhi is seen as a platform to build on the rapport established during Araghchi's previous visit in May 2025, which included participation in the 20th India-Iran Joint Commission Meeting and discussions with Indian President Droupadi Murmu.
