ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company, a major player in India's insurance sector, reported a 7.25% rise in standalone net profit to ₹546.56 crore for the fourth quarter of FY26, compared to the same quarter last year. The total income for the quarter surged by 13.12% to ₹6,618.76 crore. The company's Gross Direct Premium Income (GDPI) also saw significant growth, increasing by 18.2% to ₹7,340 crore, outperforming the industry average growth of 10.9%. The profit before tax (PBT) for the quarter rose by 7.48% to ₹718.20 crore. Despite a slight decline in the Return on Average Equity (ROAE) from 14.5% to 13.3%, the solvency ratio remained robust at 2.67x, comfortably above the regulatory minimum of 1.50x. For the full fiscal year, the consolidated net profit increased by 10.51% to ₹2,771.94 crore, with total income rising by 12.9% to ₹25,894.94 crore. The board has proposed a final dividend of ₹7 per equity share, pending approval at the upcoming annual general meeting.
