On Sunday, Israeli police executed a raid on a cannabis nursery located in Rehovot, resulting in the arrest of two individuals aged 39 and 42, who are believed to be involved in the cultivation and distribution of cannabis. Following weeks of investigation, authorities seized over 400 marijuana seedlings and approximately 7.3 kg of plant matter suspected to be cannabis. Additionally, around 1 kg of hashish and approximately NIS 25,000 (about $7,000 USD) in cash were confiscated from both the nursery and a related apartment in Yehud. The suspects, residents of Yehud and Kiryat Ono, have been interrogated and are currently imprisoned, with police planning to request an extension of their detention in court. This operation is part of a broader effort by Israeli authorities to combat drug-related activities, following a separate incident last week in Bat Yam where police seized a variety of illegal drugs including cocaine and ecstasy, leading to the arrest of two additional suspects.
