Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to inaugurate the North Tech Symposium 2026 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India, on May 4. This three-day event, organized by the Northern and Central Commands of the Indian Army in collaboration with the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers, will run until May 6. The symposium aims to provide a platform for showcasing indigenous defence technologies and fostering innovation to tackle operational challenges faced by the Indian Army. The theme for this year's event is “Raksha Triveni Sangam – Where Technology, Industry & Soldiering Converge,” highlighting the collaboration between the armed forces, industry, and innovators. A total of 284 companies will participate, including MSMEs and private defence firms, displaying cutting-edge technologies such as high-altitude drones, advanced radar systems, and AI-driven counter-drone systems. The event will also feature live demonstrations of military equipment. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh are expected to attend the event, which aims to strengthen the defence ecosystem in India through technology integration and innovation.
