A tragic road rage incident in Batala, Gurdaspur, resulted in two deaths and left one person critically injured. The confrontation began over a dispute regarding vehicle right of way near Simbal Chowk. Kanwaljit Singh, the owner of a local gun house, succumbed to his injuries after being shot, while his brother, Jagjit Singh, remains in critical condition at a hospital in Amritsar. Deepinder Singh, another participant in the altercation, was killed instantly during the shootout. Police have recovered three firearms and several spent cartridges from the scene.
