On April 29, a wild elephant trampled two men to death in the Lalkuan area of Nainital district, Uttarakhand. The incident took place in the Shah Pathani area under the Tanda range of the Tarai Central forest division on the night of April 28. Both victims died instantly at the scene. One of the deceased has been identified as Bandho Prajapati, a 75-year-old watchman from Jharkhand. The second victim remains unidentified.
