The Rotary Club of Hillsborough is set to host its annual 'Flags for Heroes' display from June 27 to July 11 at the Township Municipal Complex. This year's event aligns with the 250th Anniversary of the United States, celebrated on July 4. The display features American flags, each honoring a veteran or active-duty military member, with sponsorship available for a $50 donation. This contribution includes the hero's name and a personal message attached to the flagpole. Michele Kidd, a member of the Rotary Club, noted the positive community response in previous years, emphasizing the emotional significance of the display. Additionally, local businesses can also sponsor flags, ensuring that all veterans are recognized, including those without individual sponsorships.
