During the Android Show I/O Edition 2026 keynote, Google announced enhancements to the migration process from iOS to Android, set to debut with Android 17. This upgrade will allow users to transfer a variety of data types, including accessibility settings, alarms, apps (with user data), calendar entries, call history, email accounts, eSIM, images, videos, messages, notes, passwords, wallpapers, WhatsApp data, and home screen layouts. Initially, this feature will be available on Samsung Galaxy and Pixel devices, coinciding with the release of One UI 9 alongside the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip8 and Z Fold8 models in July.
