In the early hours of Tuesday, two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire at the main gate of a house in Roomi village, Jagraon, Punjab, India. The complainant, Paramjit Kaur, reported that she and her two minor children were inside the home when they heard loud noises resembling firecrackers between 2:20 am and 2:30 am. Upon inspection in the morning, they discovered multiple bullet marks on the gate, indicating that around six shots had been fired. Police officials, including Deputy Superintendent of Police Jaswinder Singh, confirmed that no injuries were reported, although property damage occurred. The police suspect that the shooting may be linked to an old rivalry. They have registered a case against unidentified individuals and are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the attackers. The investigation is ongoing to ascertain the motive and trace the assailants.
