Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) reported a 19.25% increase in Profit After Tax (PAT) for the financial year ending March 31, 2026, amounting to ₹57,419 crore, up from ₹48,151 crore in the previous year. The Board of Directors recommended a final dividend of ₹10 per equity share, equivalent to ₹20 per share after a 1:1 bonus issue. Total premium income also saw a significant rise, increasing by 9.80% to ₹5,35,984 crore. The Individual New Business Premium rose by 8.29% to ₹67,676 crore, while the Group Business Premium Income surged by 16.26% to ₹1,96,609 crore. LIC maintained its market leadership with a 56.66% share in the life insurance sector, including 36.60% in Individual Business and 70.11% in Group Business. The insurer sold 1.84 crore individual policies, reflecting a 3.70% growth. Additionally, the Value of New Business (VNB) soared by 41.63% to ₹14,179 crore, with an improved net VNB margin of 21.2%. Assets Under Management (AUM) increased to ₹57,29,396 crore, and the solvency ratio improved to 2.35.
