The Congress party has labeled the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as two sides of the same coin, alleging both use intimidation tactics against political rivals. This statement follows the arrest of AAP minister Sanjeev Arora by the Enforcement Directorate, which has reignited discussions on corruption within the AAP. Congress general secretary Bhupesh Baghel criticized the BJP for using central agencies like the ED, while accusing the AAP of misusing the Vigilance Bureau against opponents in Punjab. Congress leaders, including Punjab chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, emphasized that the public will not be misled by these tactics and vowed to prepare for the upcoming 2027 assembly elections. Warring also raised concerns about the timing of the ED's actions, questioning the fairness of using central agencies for political purposes. In response to the current political climate, Congress plans to conduct yatras across all 117 assembly segments in Punjab to engage with constituents about their issues. The party aims to hold the AAP government accountable and will release a charge-sheet detailing its grievances against the current administration.
