Prateek Yadav, the son of Mulayam Singh Yadav, founder of the Samajwadi Party, passed away at the age of 38 in Lucknow, India. A postmortem report indicated that he died from cardiac arrest, with blood clotting and cardio-respiratory collapse as contributing factors. Emergency services were called to his residence at 4:55 AM, but he was unresponsive when medical personnel arrived. He was pronounced dead at 5:55 AM at the Civil Hospital. The Samajwadi Party mourned his loss, calling it 'extremely heartbreaking.' Prateek was the step-brother of Akhilesh Yadav and the husband of Aparna Yadav, who was in Delhi at the time and traveled to Lucknow after learning of his death. Prior to his passing, Prateek had publicly expressed personal struggles, including a desire for divorce and mental health issues, which had reportedly caused tensions in his marriage.
