The High Court in Edinburgh heard that Murrell used the funds to support a lavish lifestyle for more than a decade. Among the items purchased was a £124,000 luxury motorhome, which was confiscated by police and had only traveled four miles. Advocate depute Alan Cameron KC detailed how Murrell misrepresented expenses, including a £57,500 fraudulent invoice for a Jaguar I-Pace, which he sold for £47,378. Additionally, he spent over £42,000 on 383 items from Amazon, primarily for personal use. The case has sparked scrutiny of Nicola Sturgeon, Murrell's estranged wife, who denied any involvement in his crimes.
