This appointment follows the departure of Gerry Beaudin, who is leaving to become the city manager of Alameda. Calabrigo brings extensive experience, having served as Danville's town manager for 32 years, making him the longest-serving city manager in the western United States. His new role in Pleasanton will come with a monthly salary of $25,000, but he will not receive any employment benefits. Beaudin, who has been with Pleasanton for four years, expressed his appreciation for the community and his colleagues in an email announcing his transition. He will be earning $383,100 in his new position, a $40,000 increase from his salary in Pleasanton. Calabrigo's appointment is seen as a temporary measure while the city seeks a permanent replacement.
