The Election Commission (EC) of India will carry out a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Odisha from May 30 to June 28, 2026. Chief Electoral Officer R. S. Gopalan announced that the training for booth-level officers (BLOs) and booth-level agents (BLAs) will be conducted from May 20 to 29, 2026. Following this training, BLOs will engage in door-to-door verification to update voter details, which includes enrolling new voters who have turned 18, removing deceased individuals, and correcting errors in the electoral rolls. The draft electoral rolls will be published on July 5, 2026, and citizens can file claims and objections until August 4, 2026. The final electoral rolls will be published on September 6, 2026.
