Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services has significantly altered its acquisition strategy for DICE Enterprises, reducing the deal value from ₹123 crore (approximately $14.8 million USD) to ₹68 crore (approximately $8.2 million USD). Initially planned as a full company buyout, the transaction will now focus on acquiring DICE's AI-enabled spend management platform, intellectual property, and approximately 100 technology professionals. Zaggle's Executive Chairman, Raj P Narayanam, stated that the revised structure allows for a cleaner and more capital-efficient path to value creation, aligning with their goals for international expansion and enhancing AI capabilities. The previous deal included a full acquisition of DICE's corporate structure and employee base, but the new arrangement excludes certain operational components still in development. The company has emphasized the strategic importance of AI in this acquisition, positioning DICE as an “AI-native” platform. Zaggle plans to provide further disclosures as the definitive agreements are finalized.
