This appeal was criticized by Akhilesh Yadav, president of the Samajwadi Party, who claimed it indicated the BJP government's failure in managing the economy and foreign policy. In response, Chaudhary stated that the SP's comments reflect a lack of understanding and introspection, given their history of governance during times of crisis in Uttar Pradesh. He emphasized that PM Modi's call for energy conservation and judicious resource use is a demonstration of responsible leadership, not weakness. Chaudhary pointed out that India continues to be one of the fastest-growing economies globally, citing advancements in various sectors despite challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and global market volatility. He condemned the SP's attempts to mislead the public and expressed confidence that voters recognize the BJP as the party capable of providing strong leadership and fostering national development.
