Bose, who arrived at the ED office in Salt Lake with his son Samudra Bose, had previously received multiple notices from the ED, especially during the West Bengal Assembly elections. He had sought exemption from appearing before the agency, citing election campaign commitments. Following the elections, he appeared before the ED on May 1.
