During the inauguration of The Hindu EducationPlus Career Counselling Fair 2026 in Mangaluru, Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy urged students to identify and pursue their career passions early in life. He stated that making informed career choices can save about two years of learning time and lead to guaranteed success. Reddy shared his personal journey, highlighting the importance of perseverance, as he succeeded in the Union Civil Services Examination after two attempts. He emphasized the need for continuous knowledge acquisition and character building, encouraging students to develop compassion for societal issues. The fair, marking its 24th edition, included expert presentations on career prospects in fields such as medicine, engineering, and chartered accountancy, along with information on CET counselling for professional courses. Various educational institutions participated, providing students with insights into available courses and opportunities.
