On Saturday, repolling was conducted at 15 polling stations in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, under strict security measures. By 1 PM, voter turnout was reported at 56.3% in Magrahat Paschim and 54.9% in Diamond Harbour. The Election Commission (EC) received 77 complaints regarding electronic voting machine (EVM) tampering, with 32 complaints originating from Falta alone. Protests ensued as BJP workers alleged threats from supporters of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and demanded repolls at additional stations. BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari called for repolls in at least 60 polling stations, while TMC leader Kunal Ghosh dismissed these claims, suggesting they were tactics to distract from an expected BJP loss. The EC is expected to make a decision regarding Falta's repolls soon.
