In the 2024-25 Performance Grading Index for Districts of India, Gurgaon ranked highest in Haryana with a score of 375, improving its category to Uttam 3. Nuh, however, remained the lowest performer with a score of 275, reflecting ongoing challenges in educational infrastructure across the state.

According to the 2024-25 Performance Grading Index for Districts of India (PGI-D) released by the Ministry of Education, Gurgaon has emerged as the top district in Haryana for school infrastructure, quality, and educational standards, scoring 375 out of 600 points and advancing to the Uttam 3 category. This marks a significant improvement from its previous scores of 354 and 346 in the prior two years. Alongside Gurgaon, four other districts—Panchkula, Faridabad, Karnal, and Jind—also achieved the Uttam 3 status. Conversely, Nuh remains at the bottom of the rankings with a score of 275, placing it in the lower Prachesta 2 category, despite a slight increase from 259 last year. The report indicates that no district in Haryana has yet reached the higher Uttam 2 or Utkarsh categories, highlighting the need for further enhancements in educational infrastructure. Nationally, the PGI-D report noted that 653 districts improved their scores this year, but only 16 reached the Uttam 2 category, with no districts achieving the highest grades.
